Pastor- Eric Spano
Eric is from Naples, Florida and has been the
pastor of Mount Pleasant since November of 2003. He and his wife Gina have 4 children - Lauren, Matthew, Timothy,
and
Christopher. Eric is an alumni of the University of Alabama, Birmingham,
and graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas.
In May of 2008, Eric received his Ph D. in New Testament at Southwestern Baptist
Theological Seminary. Eric
enjoys golf,
basketball, cooking, and spending time with his wife and family.
Associate Pastor/Youth Pastor- Jason Cockayne
Jason is originally from Orange Park, Florida.
He and his wife, Angel, met while
in college at Tennessee Temple University where he received at Bachelor's Degree
in Youth Ministry. Jason began his ministry with the Christian
Cheerleaders of America in 1999. In 2003, Jason served in several pastoral
roles in West Virginia. Jason joined MPBC's ministry staff in
May
2007.
Jason has 2 daughters (Kiley & Kamden).
Music Minister- Monte Martin
Monte is native to the Roanoke area, and studied
mechanical engineering at Virginia Western.
Monte has been involved with music since he was in the 5th grade. That love for
music later led him to being involved in church music in 1983, which he has been
a part of ever since. Monte has served as the Music Minster at MPBC since
August of 2000. Monte and his wife, Libby, have two daughters, Amy and April.
